To become a plotholder, you will need to contact the Allotment Society secretary and ask to be placed on the waiting list for available plots. Waiting times can vary, and is entirely reliant on existing potholders vacating their plot. The annual rental cycle runs October to September, and thus most vacancies (but not all) occur around this time. The Society has clear rules governing the allocation of vacant plots, which are strictly applied.
Rental depends largely on the size of the plot, but normally fall into the range £25 to £40 per year to cover rental, insurance, membership of National Allotment Society, a contribution to site maintenance and water.
Plotholders are encouraged to involve their families, and for a very small fee, the family members can become associate members, allowing them full access to the site. We are especially keen to see youngsters involved in the allotments.
The site is kept locked and secure at all times, and members have a key to access the site. However, members are responsible for the security of their property.
There is a Facebook Page for the allotment holders to share information and news.
Further details and to be added to the waiting list, please email the secretary
